The Oud in this concentrated salve "I DREAM IN OUD" has an airy, rosy lightness with subtle, white floral complexities drying down to a wild honeyed, mushroomy, sticky fig and woody, damp soil base. Softly held in a single accord Fiona balances the Oud with other rarities such as Mysore Sandalwood and Pink lotus along with the wax of wild bees and damask rose. Oud is the aromatic essence sourced from first damaged, then fungi infected and aged heartwood of the Aquilaria tree genus. Fiona only uses pure, sustainable Oud.

OUD Aquilaria sinensis, China, E.O. Oud is a natural tonic restoring exuberance and lustre to all skin. It has antioxidant, antimicrobial, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. These help to firm and smooth out visible creases on skin by boosting collagen synthesis and healthy cell production; surface microbiome and the skins natural barriers are supported and balanced with inflammatory signals such as redness, discolouration and puffiness reduced.

PINK LOTUS Nelumbo nucifer, India, Absolute Pink lotus draws out the initial ripe fruitiness and earthy richness of the Oud whilst adding an almost indescribable shimmer. Rich in flavonoids and polysaccharides it has an antioxidant effect helping to defuse the harmful effects of free radicals in the skin.

MYSORE SANDALWOOD Santalum album, Mysore, India, E.O. Delicately dreamy and understated this rare Sandalwood from Mysore brings a unique softness as only this elegant, creamy, airy wood from this area of India can do. It has a warmth and distinction almost unsurpassed in natural perfumery and aromatherapy and one which comes into its own here, matched with this Oud. With a particularly high sesquiterpene content this Sandalwood has powerful therapeutic effect on the skin helping to improve the healing of scars, and generally calming and assisting skin repair. Warm and soften a small pea sized amount between fingers until it begins to melt and smooth into skin over the whole face. Repeat on neck and chest (a little goes a long way). Alternatively, smooth into specific areas such as under and around the eyes and mouth, places of discolouration, scarring, uneven texture and slackening skin.

Wear as intimate per[FUME] and dream in clouds of delicious Oud.

Fiona says “Mirroring the way in which Agarwood (Oud) is separated from the healthy Aquilaria wood in the workshop I suggest applying this salve in short, “dabbing” or “flicking” strokes moving in an outward and upward diagonal direction along the skin with the finger-tips or two fingers fully flat to the face. This softly stimulating movement is quietly invigorating and energising to skin and compliments the revitalising actions of the essences. Applying with a dabbing, flicking movement also helps to preserve the scent for longer.”
