MEET FIONA

EXPERIENCED FACIALIST, ADVANCED CLINICAL MASSAGE THERAPIST, AROMATHERAPIST, ANTHROPOLOGIST, PASSIONATE STUDENT OF ANATOMY AND NATURAL PERFUME

Fiona seamlessly integrates a bodyworkers perspective into effective anatomy focused facials and workshops accessible for all those working with the face. She also makes exquisitely scented, high performance natural skin care seeking out moments of beauty in life and in ourselves.

“Being a facialist is a potent infusion of curiosity, vulnerability, passion for human anatomy and an openness for deep connection.”

“It’s my privilege to be a part of an incredible, and growing, community of facialists pushing the skin care industry into fresh, new territories which are well rooted in contemporary ideas of functional anatomy and the bio-mechanics of the body. I want change now and am no longer prepared to wait. I’m driven to empowering professionals and clients alike to treat the tissues of the body in an informed and compassionate way. Now is the time for us to create the freedom we want to feel.”

Fiona qualified as a facialist at the beginning of her thirties and since then has spent two decades specialising in treating prematurely maturing faces and complex, challenging and severely sun damaged skin. Fiona fully integrates a bodywork approach into her facials focusing her own practice on a combination of local (micro) and global (macro) tissue treatment to realise maximum visible, and felt, long term outcomes (results) in the face.

Stepping into the world of advance anatomy, through the door of exploring contemporary fascia research, was a game changer for Fiona. Understanding the body within the context of the fascial matrix not only transformed Fiona’s practice but revolutionised the way she sees and moves her own body. Now she wants to share these gateways to expansion with you.

After studying numerous manual therapy modalities Fiona had a light-bulb moment after spending privileged time in the dissection laboratory at Kings College London. It was here that she begun to fully comprehended the true, awe inspiring connectedness of the human body for the first time and saw the whole-body pathways of the physical body for herself. Not only did Fiona’s time in the dissection laboratory revolutionise her practice, most importantly, it transformed her touch and she is now an advocate for the non-force approach at all times, and especially when it comes to the face. Fiona continues to adapt and apply fascial techniques within her own facial practice to maximum therapeutic effect.

This work is so much more than simply the dramatic visual, surface results clients seen immediately after a treatment with Fiona - it is both the way in which the changes settle and unravel in the body over time, as well as how differently you feel, which is so utterly transformative.

As much as fascia massage, and an advanced anatomy approach in general, is simply another ‘way in’, it is a powerful practice with a far reaching, and truly profound, potency and resonance: It’s as much an internal reset as it is an external one.

Good understanding of anatomy is the fundamental bedrock to good practice. Fiona’s sole hope is simply to inspire others to hare in her delight and joy for anatomy science and the journeys of self-discovery diving deep into human anatomy can take us on. She aims to enthuse others on their own personal journeys of discovery and offer a safe and welcoming space in which to continue to explore ideas and develop skills together.

Fiona has been honoured to be commissioned to design facials for skin care companies and spas as well as teach her radical approaches across Europe and also in the US. Her work has been featured in the UK National published press with glowing review.
