CARNATION Dianthus caryophyllus, Egypt, Absolute. This is a high quality Carnation to add a firework explosion of gorgeous heady floral freshness combined with a rich earthiness with a background of wood smoke. Therapeutically it’s deeply conditioning to the skin, helping to reduce surface wrinkles as well as easing physical tensions in facial muscles. Soothes mental anxiety and helps to get rid of negative feelings.

COPAIBA Copaifera offinalis, Brazil, E.O. and Balsam. Relieves itching, soreness and the heat, discomfort and inflammation of skin conditions like acne, dermatitis, psoriasis, rheumatism as well as toxin overload, environmental overexposure. Both the essential oil and balsam are found in FH02 therapeutic scent range of skin care products. Considered by many to have a superior effect on the skin to that of CBD, Copaiba has the highest levels of the powerful inflammatory moderator, B-caryophyllene (BCP). BCP. This is a molecule that interacts with the cannabinoid receptors in the skin and is proven to enhance wound healing in the skin in multiple ways (Koyama, S et al 2019).

LABDANUM Cistus criticus, Crete, Oleresin. The broad and interesting microbial profile of Labdanum makes it efficient at helping to balance the skin natural biome barrier as its antimicrobial sesquiterpenes and diterpenes do not target healthy cells. Anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-rheumatic Labdanum has a wide-ranging positive effect to soothe inflammation and complex, challenging skin as well as regenerating maturing and tired skin.

RED FIR Picea abies, Norway, Resin. This stunningly beautiful, tactile pink resin is easy to fall in love with especially when you are party to its incredible therapeutic skin qualities.  A 2016 study found that the ability for it to efficiently treat chronic wounds was “indisputable” (Jokinen et al 2016). It has components to enhance the skin re-epithelisation and is good for acne, skin infections and the overall reconditioning of skin.

ROSEWOOD Aniba rosaeofora, India, E.O. and Dalbergia odorifera, China, E.O. Two utterly divine very special sweet, rosy heartwoods to bring breezy florals and sparkling citrus blossom lightness. Smooth fine lines, soften and reduce the appearance of scars, balance both oily and dry skin, support healing cell regeneration. Regular and consistent use of Rosewood slows down visible signs of skin ageing and helps to prevent acne and blemishes with its antimicrobial actions.

WHITE MAGNOLIA Alba Michelia, China, E.O. The sparkling fruity crispness of this White Magnolia is traditionally used to promote circulation, especially in peripheral blood vessels in the skin. It helps to increase the elasticity in skin, stimulate new cell regeneration, prevent scarring and support both healthy inflammatory responses and microbiotica. High Linalool content quietens and quells skin, mind and nervous system as linalool is soothing and calming.

YARROW Achillea millefolium, Italy, E.O. Protective against microbial skin infections, Yarrow improves saggy and loosening skin and muscle tone and is especially good for healing scarring after acne, boils, blemishes and skin wounds. Deeply soothing Yarrow is restorative for all skin prone to being sensitive, problematic and rebellious.

Crisp apple and sweet florals combine with uplifting and soothing tea. Freshly peeled wood shavings uncurl into mossy earthy undertones. FH02 is reminiscent of ancient woods after the rain, all at once refreshing and deeply comforting. An intimate home coming.

FACE Dispense x6-7 drops into palm of cupped hand. Warm oil by pressing palms together before massaging with a soft touch over face, neck and chest. Once evenly distributed begin and end by massaging lateral sides of the neck with big, long, light circles going right up behind the ear and down to the dip of the collar bone. Place more pressure on the downward stroke. Follow with FH02 Face Balm.

BODY Use on rashes and breakouts on the body. For example, itchy and irritated flare ups of inflammatory conditions of psoriasis and eczema or the heat and pressure of rheumatoid arthritis and the swelling that often accompanies it.

Sweep over pulse points. Inhale fragrance. Daydream. Close your eyes. Drift. Allow the scent to momentarily transport you to your own distant lands within. Massage and touch are the key to supporting healthy skin. A congested and inflamed skin calls for a lighter and wider surface touch.

With flat fingers and full hand contact massage in a circular motion. Concentrate a soft pressure just below the top surface of the skin (we are not exerting deeper pressure into the muscles here but instead keeping it very light with focus just on the surface of the skin). Place more pressure on the downward sweep to support fluid movement within the superficial fascia (hypodermis or adipofascial tissue) just below the skin and encourages a good flow helping to keep inflammation, congestion and discolouration at bay.

Massage the whole face, neck and chest in this way paying particular attention to both sides of the face and neck to support drainage as this is where we have a concentration of lymph nodes - be sure to circle right up in front of and behind the ear and sweep down with a little more pressure, right down to the dip of the clavicle (collarbone).
